Have an Active Summer
School may have ended but your social life can carry on all summer, with masses of activities, events and other opportunities to attend.
As summer 2010 rolls around, you may be wondering what to do with yourself. Now that school is over and exams are done, you could be facing a long, dull and lazy summer; day after day of day-time TV and lounging around your house. Perhaps this is all you hope for this summer. Or perhaps you want something to talk about when term time comes back round.
Perhaps you don’t want to watch the summer days melt away with nothing to show for them… So why not get active? Why not get out there? Just because school has ended it doesn’t mean your social life has to and it definitely doesn’t mean that your opportunities have dried up.
Follow your passion
If you have a passion; be it art or sport or even just trying new things, there is a summer programme available for you. Even if you have no idea what to do with the next couple of months, just take a look at some of the opportunities available near you! Maybe you’ll find something you never even knew you were interested in. Meet new people, try new things. Get creative, get technical, it doesn’t matter, just get involved!
